Project Life | Week 39

I'm working project life pages a little out of order here. I didn't take many photos last week so I decided I'd scrap Week 39 before I made Week 38.

I used Mye's gorgeous ICM Fleeting collection for this week's pages. I'm going to use it for Week 38 too when I get it started. I also found some freebie Privacy Circles from Cathy Zielske's blog. They're perfect for those times I want to use a photo but people don't want the photo shared online. I'll link you up here to Cathy Zielske's blog post where she gave them away.

Fleeting (I Collect Memories) by Mye De Leon (You can find Mye at Snap Click Supply now!)

Here's a link to the entire Fleeting collection if you want to check out the whole shebang. Otherwise I'll also link you to the portions I used: 4x6 journal cards, 4x6 title cards, 4x4 journal cards, 3x4 journal cardsalpha, stamps, tags, week stamps, solid papers, patterned papers

I've just finished my East Coast Vacation Album!

I don't know what happened but somehow I completely forgot to make a book for our family trip this summer! OK, we've been back for less than 3 months but for me this is really late! I've finished my book now and I want to share it with you.

FYI, once I decide on a style for a vacation album I typically create them pretty quickly. I decided for this book that I wanted a coffee-table style book with clean and simple straight lines. I'm pretty excited about it! You won't find a single shadow or blending in this entire book. That's unusual for me! It's just about the photos and words.

I used a white background paper with a light grid pattern and I used three fonts throughout. FYI, I used Stringfellows (my new favorite font) for the titles, Minion Pro for the journaling and Homestead for the subtitles. Tonight I'll import my pages into Lightroom, assemble the book in the LR Book Module, upload the project to Blurb and send it off to print! And then, since I'll already have it assembled in the Book Module I'll also make a PDF book as well. I'll share photos of the printed book once I get it back from Blurb!

FYI, the photos might look a little funny in the post. They've got a white background and my blog background is white. For the majority of the pages (except the full photo pages), there's a 1 inch border around the edges.

TFL!

Barbara

NOTE ... if you want to see this book on my FB Page, here's a link.

15! Happy birthday to my sweet daughter!

My baby is 15 today. She's such a sweet girl! In honor of her birthday I'm sharing her "number" page.

For my kids' birthdays I always create a "number" page for them and I decorate the house with a bunch of these pages. I hope they enjoy it. I know I enjoy looking at all the photos of them over the years. They're growing up so fast!

Anyway ... Happy birthday Lauren. I love you Sweetie!!

LAUGH LOL! (Teenage boys are entertaining!)

I thought I was done scrapping photos of my senior photo shoot with the boys but then I remembered a funny thing they said and I just had to scrap it so I'd remember. Teenage boys can certainly be entertaining!

End of Summer Celebrations - Cedar Point Resort

Last night I posted a page of the kiddos swimming up north & swinging from a rope into the lake. Tonight I made a facing page with other photos from that same weekend. The pages don't coordinate, except I did use the same background paper.

If you took a peek at my printed books you'd see that each page is different. No coordinating going on here!

The Building Crew - The making of a raised herb garden

I love that my husband is teaching the kids to be handy and to be able to build things! It'll be a great skill for them to have.  What a great dad!

Graduation photo shoot with the guys!

I had a great time taking senior graduation photos of my son and my nephew. These good looking guys warranted six pages in the family album! I wanted to scrap my favorite photos of each of the guys but I loved some of the photos of them together too ... looking good and also being goofy so I wanted to add some of those too! I sure do love these guys!

I decided to keep the pages super simple because I wanted to keep the entire focus on the photos!
