Minnesota State Fair | 2017 Project Life Week 34

I'm doing some catch up on Project Life. I normally do weekly recap pages, but when there's "big stuff" I'll do full page spreads to include in my PL book. The Minnesota State Fair constitutes "big stuff" to me!

Crazy Mouse | Minnesota State Fair

I love rides. Really. Truly. I do. Roller coasters, crazy rides, they’re all good. But this ride - the Crazy Mouse at the State Fair the Mad Mouse at Valley Fair - not so much. They freak me out. The roller coaster part is all good, but those tight corners scare the heck out of me! That’s what Lauren likes - she loves hearing me scream. My terror completely amuses her. She begged and begged and begged me to PLEASE go on the Crazy Mouse with her. She said it would make her life. She wore me down. Being the good mom I am (or was I just a pushover?) I went on it with her and do you know what? It terrified me just as much as I knew it would, but it made Lauren happy so I’m glad I did it. Yup. I love this kid but I really am afraid of this ride.

First Day of Senior Year

Since my kids started kindergarten I've keep an 8x8 "First Day of School" album for each of the kids. I keep my pages super simple with mostly the photo & a note of the school, the year and my kid's signature (which has changed a lot over the years - it's fun to flip through and see how their signature has changed!). This simple album is great to flip through and see the kids grow up from year to year in a quick glance.

My son is in college now so his book has been done for a couple years and now that my daughter is a senior I guess this is my very last page. It's the end of an era! Sigh!
