It's here! It's here! One of my photo books is here!

It's here! The first of my two 2011 photo books arrived today! I got my January to June book and according to an email  got from Shutterfly this afternoon, the July-December book will be here later this week.

This is so fun! It's like Christmas for me! I so enjoy FINALLY being able to page through my book!

Good Friends - a friend's b/d party

Ahh, it's fun to be scrapping 2012 photos already. OK, it's already going to be May tomorrow, but still - I'm finally up to 2012. Yay!

Now ... important scrappy stuff ... Tiffany Tillman is coming out with yet another simply AWESOME template pack this week and I got to play with one of 'em tonight. I'm loving this new set. They're on sale over at Design House Digital right now if you want to check 'em out!

P365 + 1 - Week 17: April 22 - April 28, 2012

Time for another photo-of-the day page. I love love - LOVE - this project!

Comment on one of the photos - the replacement birthday check I got in the mail from Don - it TOTALLY made my day. I laughed out loud. What a funny way to replace the check I "temporarily misplaced." (I have misplaced checks before, hence Don's comment!) (Note to Don: did you notice I redacted all personal identifying information before I posted the check on the WEB?!)

I'm noticing that more and more of my POTD photos are iPhone photos. It's just so convenient to snap a shot when I'm out and about. I'm so glad the phone takes pretty decent photos!

Easter in Cloquet

It's not my typical style of page, but I was looking through my stash of digi papers and saw this beautiful art journal style paper from Jodi Lee and I had to play around with it a bit. It's kind of fun for a change I think.

God answers prayers ... and we're so thankful.

My gosh, this was such a big part of our life and our reality this past January/February. Everything turned out well - and we're so thankful - that I really wanted to talk about the experience and acknowledge how thankful I am the way things turned out for my mom (and our entire family). Like the page says ... big sigh of relief.

Minnesota Winter?

Tiffany Tillman (Simply Tiffany Studios) has been busy creating new templates. She's got a pack coming out soon (tomorrow I think). I thought I'd share a page I created with this new set. It's fun stuff!

I HEART my dog!

Echo Park just came out with a kit called "Woof". It's such an incredibly cute kit and I remembered this ADORABLE photo my daughter took of Maggie one morning and I simply had to scrap it. I would never have thought to take a photo of Maggie with a hat on, but it sure is a cute photo!

2011 Family Scrapbook (July-December)

And finally ... here's my July-December 2011 family scrapbook!Enjoy!
Shutterfly photo books offer a variety of layouts and cover options to choose from.

2011 Family Scrapbook (January-June)

This is it! Yay. I'm doing a happy dance! I've finalized my TWO (count 'em TWO) 2011 Family Scrapbooks and I sent 'em off to print at Shutterfly tonight. I'm so excited. I can't wait to finally see all my pages from last year in print. It was an entire (fun!) year in the making. So, without further "chatting" on my part, I'll let you click on and view my photo book (see above)! Enjoy! (I sure enjoyed creating it!)

Intro Pages to my 2011 Shutterfly Albums

I'm in the final stages of finishing up my 2011 family scrapbooks. I've far exceeded Shutterfly's 100 page limit so I'm breaking up the family album into two books (one for January-June and another for July-December). Now that I've finished the intro pages to the two books, I need to create the Shutterfly covers and upload and send 'em to print. I'm anxious to have my books in hand!

(I wasn't sure how to handle the intro pages. I decided that, for consistency, I'd stick with the same kit for each intro page and but use different designs. Tomorrow I'll figure out how to do the covers. It's a big project and I'm getting tired!)

OK ... seriously though ... I'm tired. I need to head off to bed! I don't think I can stay up late tomorrow now. I need to catch up on my sleep!

Makeovers

I had to balance out the super masculine gaming page I made yesterday with a super girly makeover page. Now I feel in balance again.
I had an opportunity to play with Carina Gardner's beautiful Paris Market papers which are coming out at jessicasprague.com tomorrow. They were PERFECT for a makeover page!

On-Line Gaming

I find it much easier to scrap "girly" pages. Boy pages are harder for me. For instance, on-line gaming. I don't get the appeal (nor do I like it) but, it's a reality for teenage boys (and beyond I suppose). (OK, I guess I do, in a way, understand the appeal. I'm pretty focused on my Photoshop, so I've got my laptop out all the time too. I suppose it's kind of the same. I'm just not in a war.) Anyway, even though it's not flowers and a "pretty" page, I want to include memories like these in my son's book so that he can remember the things that are important to him too!

Boys will be Boys! (flag football)

This was the second page I scrapped in the car today. This was my evening page. I love scrapping in the car!

My baby is going to be a high schooler?!

We drove up north today for the day. I feel so productive I scrapped this page on the way up north. I scrapped another page (to be posted soon) on the way home. I love that!

{Besides scrapping a couple of pages in the car, we also had a wonderful time visiting with Grandma, Grandpa and Great Grandma too!}

Jessica Sprague CT Call!!

Whoo hoo! Jessica Sprague is having a Creative Team (CT) Call. We've got a great CT group at J*S, but with all the new designers they're adding to the team. I've gotta tell you, I'm on the J*S CT and I absolutely love it. It's great fun!

So, if you love to create and want a chance to play with the fabulous digi product of all the J*S designers, you can check out all the details here!

Our Christmas Dresses

What fun ... Jodi Lee is coming out with some "Home Sewn" papers and embellishments soon. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted to scrap this photo of Karen, Shelly (Michelle) and me. I love our Christmas dresses!

P365+1: March 31st-April 3rd - Spring Break (Wisconsin Dells)

I've gotta tell you, I absolutely love my photo a day project. I'm glad that the format I'm using allowed me to - somewhat quickly - put together a collection of photos from our spring break trip. I'll still definitely scrap some pages of this trip for my regular 2012 family album - but it'll also be nice to have a collection of photos in my POTD book!

This is quite a collection of photos. I took a few photos with my DSLR camera - but not very many. (Weird, huh?!) I didn't lug it around much and actually sent it back home with Scott when he went home a day early to go to work. (I didn't want to leave it in a locker at the water park or in the back of the car.) I took all my waterpark photos with my underwater Olympus camera and the vast majority of the other photos I just took with my iPhone. (I love my iPhone camera! It really takes pretty good photos.)
