2014 Wall Calendar

I thought I'd share with you today some wall calendars I made for my in-laws as a Christmas gift. (I had to hold off posting these until I actually gave them their gifts!). I used a bunch of super fun digi goodness from Splendid Fiins to create these calendar toppers!

2013 Calendar (yes indeed, I'm making a calendar in April!)

I bet I know what you're thinking. What in the heck is she doing? It's the end of April and she's making a 2013 calendar NOW. Weird. Well, it was totally a spur of the moment thing. I was getting ready to head out of the house for work this morning and as I walked past the kitchen desk and into the mudroom I thought that there was some space on the wall where I had two 8-1/2x11 calendars hung up last year and that is just bare. It needed something and all of a sudden it bugged me. So ... I decided to throw together this quick year at a glance calendar.

It's going to serve a couple of purposes. #1 It will fill that space that was practically screaming at me saying "Hang Something Here NOW!" AND #2 it will give us a quick glimpse of the family as we walk by the kitchen desk and into the mudroom. See ... makes total sense, right?

Besides, this is a 16x20 calendar and it's only $6 to print at Costco. Makes even more sense, right! LOL!

For this calendar I used Simply Tiffany Studio's Year at a Glance Calendar Posters and Robyn Meirerotto's Lucky papers and elements. Easy peasy. I put it together in about an hour. Cool!

Days of December: Calendar & hand journaling pages

I decided at the last second that it would be fun to include - at the end of my Days of December book a couple of extra pages. I included a page that showed our calendar for the month. I took a screen shot of my iCal on my Mac (I redacted that because I knew no one really wanted to read that!). I felt it showed a glimpse of our real life. Also ... I really like to see my family's handwriting (particularly the kids - since their handwriting changes more). Since this is a digital book, I just created a blank page that I intend to have the family write on. I'm going to have them write whatever they feel like. Anything they write will reflect them the way they are now and will be a treasure down the road! I'm almost done with my book ... I only have the cover and spine to finalize!

For these pages I used:
Karla Dudley: Heart of the Holidays
Mye de Leon: Vintage Christmas
Katie Pertiet's Linen Buttons Polar Mountain

2012 Calendar - May Family

You may recall that I posted a calendar I made for the Unzen family a couple of weeks ago. I also made a calendar for the May side of the family, I just didn't post it because it was a gift and I knew it would be seen on the blog. The calendars are all distributed now, so ... drum roll please (ha!) ... here's the May family 2012 calendar:

2012 Calendar Toppers {Jan-April} (a gift for my inlaws)

I've been sitting at my computer all night making calendar toppers for my inlaws for Christmas. {It's become a standard on their Christmas wish list and of course I'm happy to oblige.} Now ... shhhh ... don't tell them ... hopefully they won't visit my blog in the next two weeks and see the calendar. (I don't think they will.) Just thought I'd share. (I wonder if I should think about doing some swapping of photos and making another calendar for me or my side of the family. Hmmm ... something to think about ... TOMORROW! I'm exhausted and am heading off to bed!) TFL!
