Best Mom Ever | Pixels & Co. Digi Morph

I made this page for a super fun Digi Morph over at Pixels & Co. What's a digi morph you ask? Well, it's kind of like playing telephone when you were a kid except it's changed up for the scrapbooking world. In this case we had a group of about 40 scrappers taking part in our morph. We were divided into three teams. Each team was given the same layout to "scraplift." The original layout was only shown to the first person on each team. That person could then use any part of the layout as inspiration for their page (the colors, the design, the photo treatment - the sky's the limit). After the first person on each team completed their layout they sent their page off to the next person on their team who then used the first person's page as inspiration … and so on and so on down the list. Super fun, right?!

Well … this morph has been going on for a few weeks. I just noticed that the "big reveal" came out today. Yay! I'll link you up to the reveal at the bottom of this post, but first I'll share my page … If you pop over to the reveal, you'll see I was almost at the bottom of the list for my team ….

If you'd like to see the results of the entire digi morph, you can click here.

Want to get involved in the next Pixels & Co. digi morph … just keep an eye on the forums. I'm sure there will be another one soon!

Hello Life | Capturing a gleeful moment

I absolutely LOVE this photo of my daughter. I took it one day last summer when I took her and my nieces (and one of their friends) out to take graduation photos for my niece. I captured my daughter in such a gleeful moment. I love it!

You Defined ... a Typography Portrait

This is a really different page for me - as you can probably tell! I took Amanda Taylor's amazing Art of Journaling class over at Scrapaneers and she taught this super cool Typography Portrait technique. I've seen this sort of thing in magazines but had no clue how to achieve the effect. It was fun to create so I wanted to share my page with you …

Click here if you'd like to check out Amanda's class over at Scrapaneers.

Project Life | Week 12

It's time for another week of Project Life pages. We're through Week 12 of 2014 already. Time is flying by!

I used Just Jaimee's April Storyteller Collection for this week's pages.

How to include videos on your scrapbook pages!

I love including videos on my scrapbook pages. I think it's a great addition to my pages.

I thought others might like to learn how to include videos on their pages as well so I blogged over at Scrapaneers today and gave step by step instructions telling you just how to do it. Check out my post here if you want to learn how!

Now my only challenge with videos is that I need to remember to TAKE videos. I'm definitely getting better at clicking the record button on my iPhone!

June | Random Snapshots

I'm working on my monthly random snapshots pages. As I decide I'm done scrapping pages for a particular month I put together "random snapshots" pages with photos I didn't scrap. I like that I've added these pages to my albums!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I'm almost done scrapping Christmas 2013. I think all I've got left is our gift opening the day before Christmas. Yay! Christmas is my favorite holiday, yet for some reason I don't enjoy scrapping the pages from the actual holiday. I love scrapping events leading up to it, but the holiday itself is always difficult for me. My thought is that it's because I have so many photos of so many people from the holiday that I really want to include on my pages that I not only have multi-photo layouts … I have multi-multi-multi photo layouts. For me they're harder pages to scrap. I do like these pages though. I went for a more graphic feel.

Materials used:

Mye De Leon | Peppermint Winter kit, journal cards, smears

And I think I might just "cheat" for Christmas Eve. I scrapped 2 pages for Project Life using a bunch of Christmas Eve photos so I just swapped out the ugly sweater photos (because I already did an ugly sweater page) and that was it. Pretty quick!

Winter Wonderland | Sledding fun with the family

I've been scrapping kinda artsy, grungy, blended pages for the last couple of days so I thought that tonight I'd make a page with a more graphic feel to change it up a bit. I had a ton of family photos from this fun day of sledding so it was fun to look through the photos and put the page put together!

Memories of a time when we WEREN'T tired of winter yet …

Splendid Fiins : Winter Wonderland

Jousting in Trier, Germany | I love my funny uncles!

I used some awesome designs from Splendid Fiins to create this page of my totally entertaining uncles jousting at the Roman Ampitheater in Trier. I even included a video on my page! I love using QR codes!

Materials Used:

It all started with a boy and a street performer (Munich, Germany)

This is just one of our many wonderful memories of our family vacation to Germany this past summer.

This was an encounter we had with a street performer in Munich. What fun!
